30 Apr ‘4 in 10 businesses restarted in a fortnight’ – RingTV (Apr ’20)
4 out of 10 companies have restarted or plan to do so in the near future. This is according to a survey of more than 1,000 companies by Voka, the Flemish network of enterprises. 85 per cent of all companies have taken measures to keep staff safe.
Since the lockdown, Voka has been taking a weekly survey of more than 1,000 companies. “The eagerness to restart is increasing week after week,” says Kasper Demol, spokesperson for Voka. “28 per cent of companies have meanwhile restarted or increased production. This is a doubling compared to last week. Another 14 per cent plan to restart in the next two weeks.”
Businesses are taking responsibility for getting their workers back to work in a safe manner. “2 in 3 companies have fully adapted their work organisation to the measures,” Demol stresses. “Moreover, 85 per cent of companies have taken measures to allow their staff to work in complete safety.”
